SMM is currently offering short-term assignments and peace projects at the following locations:
- Kathmandu/Nepal: Cooperating with a pastor and his family who manage a Trekking Company with the aim of putting tourists in touch with social projects across the country. Volunteers support discipling camps, may work in an orphanage or support a Christian doctor in remote areas. Language: English, some Nepali, Assignment ist best done as a team
A short-term team reports: Church history in Nepal is pretty young. 1-2% of the Nepali people belong to a Christian church. Our visits have been very encouraging to them. It is exciting to get to know communities, brothers and sisters who are in the beginning of a Christian movement. For those of us who come from a country with a long history of the Church, it is very refreshing to witness such enthusiasm among young and old”.
